Gatineau Park is a wedge of land measuring 361 square kilometres to the northwest of Canada’s Capital Region. In the Park, the NCC protects plants and animals and manages facilities and trails so that the public may enjoy outdoor activities in every season.

Temporary Closure, trail no. 1
Beginning August 2, a portion of trail no. 1 between Kingsmere Road (Old Chelsea Picnic Area) and the Gatineau Parkway (Penguin Picnic Area) will be closed for a period of approximately six to eight weeks for rehabilitation of the trail surface.

NOTICE TO USERS
We currently have a problem with the overpopulation of Canada geese on Gatineau Park beaches. The beaches are cleaned regularly, but some fecal matter may occasionally still be present.
